2. This website
Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted by Railway Corporation, USA, on servers in the US West region. Transfers to the USA are based on the standard contractual clauses in Railway's data processing agreement. When you open a page, the server records technical data your browser sends: IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer and browser type. This is needed to deliver the site and to detect abuse. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working website). Logs are kept only as long as needed for these purposes and are then deleted.
Fonts
The typeface on this website is loaded from Bunny Fonts, operated by BunnyWay d.o.o., Slovenia (EU). To deliver the font files, your IP address is transmitted to Bunny's servers. According to Bunny, no cookies are set and no personal data is logged. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (consistent presentation of the website).
No cookies, no analytics
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
If you write to us, we use your email address and message to reply. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message concerns a contract or its preparation, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply.
3. The Stockwyn app
Stockwyn is one app that connects a Shopify store with marketplace seller accounts. The connection to eBay is in development. The connection to Etsy is planned and depends on Etsy approving API access; the Etsy parts below describe how it is designed and will be reviewed before it is offered. The merchant who installs the app is our customer.
Data we process
- From Shopify: the store's address and access credentials, products, variants and SKUs, inventory levels, locations, orders created for marketplace sales, the settings you choose in the app, your plan and the start date of your free trial.
- From eBay: your eBay user ID and access credentials, listing IDs, quantities, prices and eBay orders.
- From Etsy (planned, only if you connect an Etsy shop): your Etsy shop ID and user ID, access credentials, listing IDs, SKUs, quantities, prices and Etsy orders (receipts).
- Buyer details in eBay and Etsy orders (name, shipping address, items bought): passed directly to Shopify to create the order. Stockwyn does not store them in its own database; it keeps only the link between the marketplace order and the Shopify order and the import status.
Why and on what legal basis
We process this data to provide the service the merchant signed up for: linking listings on the connected marketplaces, keeping stock and price in step and importing orders. We use Etsy data only for these purposes; we do not use it for advertising, sell it or share it with third parties other than the providers listed below. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. For personal data of the merchant's customers we act on the merchant's behalf as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. A data processing agreement is available on request.
Etsy data (planned)
This applies once the Etsy connection is offered and only if you connect an Etsy shop.
- Storage and protection: Etsy access credentials will be stored encrypted. Etsy listing and order data will be kept only as long as needed to keep quantities in step and to import orders, and will not be cached beyond that.
- Sharing: Etsy data will not be sold, not used for advertising and not shared with anyone other than the service providers listed below, who process it on our behalf.
- Your control: you can disconnect your Etsy shop in the app at any time, which deletes the Etsy data as described under "Retention and deletion". You can also ask us at hello@stockwyn.com which Etsy data we hold.
- Security incidents: if a security incident affects Etsy data, we will inform Etsy and the affected merchants within 24 hours of becoming aware of it.
Service providers
- Hosting of the app: Railway Corporation, USA, on servers in the US West region. Transfers to the USA are based on the standard contractual clauses in Railway's data processing agreement
- Shopify (Shopify International Ltd., Ireland, and Shopify Inc., Canada): installation, sign-in and billing. Stockwyn never receives payment card details.
- eBay (eBay GmbH, Germany, and eBay Inc., USA): the connected seller account.
- Etsy (Etsy Ireland UC, Ireland, and Etsy, Inc., USA; planned): the connected Etsy shop.
Retention and deletion
- When a merchant uninstalls the app, Shopify notifies us, and we delete that store's data, including settings, sessions, order links, billing records and pending sync tasks.
- When eBay tells us an eBay account was deleted, we delete the data stored for that account.
- When a merchant disconnects an Etsy shop in the app (planned), we delete the Etsy access credentials and the links to Etsy listings and orders for that shop right away. If Etsy access is revoked on Etsy's side, we delete the same data once we detect it.
- Requests from Shopify about a customer's data (access or erasure) are answered according to what we actually store, which excludes buyer details as described above.
4. Your rights
You have the right to access your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16), deleted (Art. 17) or restricted (Art. 18), to receive it in a portable format (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). To use these rights, email hello@stockwyn.com.
Under Art. 77 GDPR you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
5. Changes
We update this policy when the website or the apps change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
